ANALYTIC SOLUTION FOR THE VELOCITY FIELD AROUND SUBMERGED PERMEABLE BREAKWATERS

In this paper, an analytic solution to the scattering of water wave by submerged permeable breakwaters in infinite-depth is presented. The velocity field around breakwater under linear train deep condition sought formulating a nonhomogeneous Riemann-Hilbert problem. To deal with nonlinearity due permeability plates, perturbation method applied terms small parameter representing permeability. We present leading order (impermeable breakwaters) and first (permeable spatial field. validity was verified through comparison solutions suggested Evans (1970). Then, impermeable breakwater’s reflection transmission coefficients are compared investigate effects analytical presented research can be used for designing breakwaters, such as calculating force validation numerical simulations or experimental results.
